About Me

I am an author/educator/speaker on motivation, achievement, empowerment and change. I was born on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines but grew up in Brooklyn, NY. I graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, won a full scholarship to attend North Carolina State University (1994-98), graduated with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Spanish. I've acted on Broadway, played international soccer in the World Cup, taught elementary school, was a Division I college coach, a radio DJ at WSHA 88.9 FM. I've lived, I've loved, I've learned and I'm ready to share my story with the world.

Through my company bygINC, I've delivered speeches to Texas A&M University, NC State University, The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts, The NFL Player's Association High School Player Development Forum, DC Lutheran Social Services Teen Haven Aids Retreat, The St. Vincent Football Federation U-20 National Team, The Triangle YMCA Black Achiever's Club, The Boys and Girls Club and local elementary and middle schools in Raleigh, NC.

In summer 2009, I began my BYFA Summer Enrichment Program in St. Vincent, using soccer to teach life skills, health education, a commitment to academic excellence and community building.
